2020 News Archive (pre-pandemic!)

AGM

It is proposed that the Annual General Meeting will be held at the start of the Tockington training week on 5th April. If you have any items that you wish to see placed on the agenda, please contact the secretary. The constitution requires that the agenda be published with the notice of the meeting, at least 3 weeks before it takes place.

Impact of Coronavirus

The current pandemic is making life unpredictable for NYFTE as it is for everyone else. Of course we do not yet know how that is going to impact our schedule. We intend proceeding with events as originally scheduled as much as we can. We will, of course, be following government recommendations and the decisions of the festivals that we attend.

We are keeping the situation and advice under frequent review and will have to react to circumstances. This may mean some changes at short notice. We will make sure that the latest position is posted on this web site.

Getting Ready for the Year Ahead

After a bit of a rest for the performing members and the leadership, we are now gearing up for the year ahead. We have made plans for our appearances during 2020 and those can now be found on the dates page.

10 new members joined the team following our training weekend in February, so the team is now close to maximum capacity.

The next step is our  Easter training week. This year, however, we are shortening the week and starting on the Sunday as the Dancing England Rapper Tournament takes place on the Saturday for which NYFTE are putting up 3 teams this year.
