2024 Spring Concert

Our NYFTE Spring Concert is the first opportunity for our 2024 team to perform this season's repertoire to an audience of family, friends and supporters. 

Venue: Denstone College

Doors open at 14.00, and the concert will begin at 14.30. 

Tickets: If you'd like to come along, please reserve your tickets using this link. 

We will not be charging for tickets, but would welcome donations to support the team. You will be able to contribute online (this is in the process of being set up at the moment), or we will be collecting cash donations on the day. 

Accessibility: Unfortunately the theatre at Denstone College is only accessible using the main staircase, there are no lifts or level access. (This is due to it being a grade 1 listed building). The main staircase comprises several short flights of shallow steps, with larger landing spaces between. If this is an issue for you please contact us to discuss how we can arrange for you to be with us. 

Parking: There is ample parking at Denstone College, immediately outside the entrance to the main building.  

NYFTE Spring Concert

Following on from the traditional training week in the Easter Holidays, NYFTE showcased their 2024 repertoire at the Spring Concert where the audience were blown away by the achievements. There were many new items including dances, song, and musical compositions / arrangements by team members.

Of particular note this year is a change in the musical accompaniments. NYFTE have always prided themselves on the fact that team members play the music accompanying the dance elements of their performance for all bar one item. However, this year more members are getting involved with the musical provision, creating a sense that the music is as important for the performance as the dance. Other items included a single rapper dance that involves four rapper teams, clog items, unaccompanied song elements and varying ensemble music groups.  

We are really looking forward to a year with appearances at folk festivals such as Chippenham and Sidmouth. The final opportunity to see the 2024 repertoire will be at the Grand finale in Shirehampton Hall, Bristol, on September 21st.
