Videos of NYFTE

The DERT 22 video is a recording of the NYFTE rapper team competing in the Open Competition during the 2022 competition held in Derby.

The following recordings are performances that were given at the 2022 Spring Concert in Shirehampton, Bristol. A variety of traditional dance styles are showcased, along with a demonstration of the music.

In 2020 many festivals created a virtual space that celebrated all that could not at that time be experienced due to pandemic laws. Chippenham (a regular event that NYFTE perform at) and Chester Folk Festivals collaborated to create a joint online festival that celebrated the best of what both could offer. Festivals asked performance groups for videos that illustrated their group. The NYFTE Team Leaders created this video from entries supplied by individual team members. The video contains footage filmed during the successful 2019 season and home videos shot during lockdown, as well as the hugely successful Stick and Bucket competition entry.

The Stick and Bucket competition, inspired by Terry Pratchett's Discworld novels and held annually on the Sunday of the Chippenham festival, also moved online. NYFTE were announced the joint winners: for the NYFTE entry, please see the video below between 7.22 and 11.44 minutes.

The videos below were all taken at DERT 2015.
